swine flu

It does not prevent it; however it is a safety precaution.
I have compiled a list also to help prevent spreading and contraction:
1. Wash Your Hands regularly or wear plastic gloves.
2. Avoid touching surfaces and areas that have high traffic, doorknobs, tables, etc.
3. Avoid people who appear sick or ill.
4. Cover your mouth and polity ask people to cover theirs when sneezing or coughing.
5. Cough or sneeze into your forearm, not your hands however if you do wash your hands.
6. Politely avoid shaking people’s hands.
7. Stay indoors if you are sick to avoid contaminating others.
8. Avoid touching any areas of you face, mouth, etc.
I am continuing to build the list, so I will get back to you with any further info…

A surgical mask is not designed to prevent people from inhaling a virus.

What it does however is prevent people from getting bodily fluids on them sneezing and coughing. It also helps people avoid touching their faces.

swine flu

Hey there!

I'm from Mexico and I have seen up close all this madness about the swine flu. Let me tell you something: this is all a fraud.

Yes, there is a virus of a different type of flu out there but it is not mortal. It is just like any other flu.

Statistically around 170 people (aged from 25 to 50) die every month for flu complications in Mexico. That is because of poor conditions, and lack of proper health services.

So far 160 people have died of flu in Mexico since this whole madness appeared, but only 8 deaths are confirmed to be due to swine flu.

This is not a pandemic situation, not even epidemic!!! 170 PEOPLE WERE GOING TO DIE DUE TO FLU COMPLICATIONS, SWINE FLU OR NOT!!!

The deaths don't have to do at all with the virus being mortal.

Last year in Mexico MONTHLY 5000 people died of heart deseases, 6000 for diabetes, 3000 for accidents... 500 people were murdered by drug cartels.

Are you telling me the world should consider 160 deaths (ONLY 8 CONFIRMED TO BE DUE TO SWINE FLU) a pandemic situation?? I don't think so.

Please open your eyes!!! All this is a show perpetrated to cause panic.
The WHO will elevate the situation to level 6 and the borders will be closed.

US citizes will be forced to consume national products only because all goods fabricated in Mexico and China will not pass the border.
ALL THIS IS JUST TO BOOST YOUR ECONOMY!!!

I think the virus was engineered and released on purpose, but not to kill people, just to cause panic.

swine flu

There are three possibilities-

A biologically engineered virus for a terrorist attack.

A biologically engineered virus for population maintenance.

A naturally occurring phenomena.

We mustn't panic because of the media's hysteria, the only reason there have been so many deaths in Mexico is because of bad health care (Not meant to offend anybody) and there has only been one confirmed death caused by Swine Influenza in the United States.

This could be a biologically engineered virus created by a radical terrorist group such as Al-Qaeda to attack innocent U.S. citizens, knowing that the United States borders are more protected than Mexico's, the virus could have easily been transmitted to the Mexican people and so forth.

Viruses have been known to "jump" and transmit genes to one another creating somewhat of a hybrid virus. This MAY be the case with the Swine flu, being that it is a hybrid of The Avian flu, the Swine Flu, and the seasonal Human flu (sometimes there isn't some grand scheme to it all) this is what happened with the 1918 Spanish Flu Pandemic but the Avian Influenza Virus jumped DIRECTLY to humans.

The swine flu could have been created to maintain increasing populations in Mexico and may have accidentally been transmitted to American tourists who eventually spread the virus to the United States.

The bottom line, no matter what the cause, don't worry so much about it because the majority of the deaths were caused by bad health care, not the flu itself.

Hoped I was of some help.

Also by the way, THE VIRUS IS NOT AIRBORNE, PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SPREADING IT THROUGH TRAVEL AND THEN DIRECT CONTACT.

Could be. You know the government seems to come out with outbreaks consistantly now. Last year it was MRSA. Before that it was the bird flu, mad cow disease, SARS, ecoli, etc. I'm not even worried about it.

If you think you have it Or are sick in any way. STAY home. The germ can increase and you get sick. People over 55 and under 5 are most likely to die. If they get it. Teenagers not so much!

swine flu

It wouldn't protect you 100 percent. Washing hands is still the best protection. But it might offer some protection. Here is an article that explains about flu masks:
